I really like Jim Rogers. I feel sorry for him having to be interviewed by air-heads all the time, and you can hear in his voice, and see in his body language, he is thinking “Jesus Christ, where did they get this idiot from”.

I believe we will indeed have food shortages, and the problem in North America is made even worse by the prodigal amount of breeding going on by natives of a country to the south. Call me racist if you wish, but it’s the truth.

I live in ND. There is no shortage of farmers. It just takes a lot fewer people to do the work. It is mechanized, and most farmers work only 2-3 months out of the year. If they have enough land, they make a good living without a college degree.

It varies. Most farms are getting bigger, because you have to have certain threshhold of land to make a good living, but there are plenty of guys my age ( I am in my 30′s) who farm. I am a doctor and my wife’s cousin who is 37 lives in a much bigger house than I do for 3 months of work a year. There are fewer farmers because many small farms have sold out years ago, but there is no empty land for lack of farmers. Every inch of land is farmed up here, unless it’s CRP land (a fraction).
That is a nice way to formulate your views. Especially because the people your comment targeted cannot understand it.
