It’s risky — a 39 year experiment so far, and in that time it has lost about 75% of its value. So silver, gold, and tangibles are a better store of value going forward. But they pay no interest, so people who want income generating assets, like seniors, shy away, because they have bills to pay. And the Fed has screwed them by lowering rates on cash!
