Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich join forces to push for US withdrawal from Pakistan

07/27/2010 – www.RonPaul.com In a last-ditch effort to prevent the US government’s wars from spreading, Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich joined forces to push for a comprehensive withdrawal of US troops from Pakistan by year’s end. The House voted 372 to 38 against the resolution, but the debate served as yet another example of growing antiwar sentiment in Congress. –Ron Paul is America’s leading voice for limited, constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. @TheHardMoneyMan Thank you. At least I can begin to understand where you’re coming from and it’s interesting.

    @helltrackrider great point! IMHO, most of the government should be funded through lottery taxes as they were pre-civil war. If your neighborhood wants a pool, have a lottery and half on the pool; don’t make the rest of the city who will never use it, pay for it! Same goes for bigger projects.

    The national government should not have the power to tax the people directly; they should only tax state governments whom must negotiate with the citizens something acceptable or the find a state that is.

    @mo1elftausend There was more socialism under Bush, and now even more under Obama. Look where we are.

    A country as rich as the United States should, with no federal government involvement, enable people to take care of their selves or enable generous people who are willing to volunteer their assistance to others, not steal money from the productive and give to the unproductive.

    The UK supports Ron Paul 2012. Be a role-model for the world again like you used to be, America. The UK and almost every other country is LOST to the NWO and now only the USA can change the direction of the planet for the better: *by example*. It is going to take one hell of a fight to break the grip of the elite’s tentacles and he is the man to do it, by never giving up the fight for liberty, truth and justice. PLEASE KEEP SUPPORTING THIS MAN – HE IS THE BEST.

    @Irockman1

    On what planet, dumbass? What the Hell makes you think that private charities will just happen to meet the needs of the less fortunate?

    IF you want change you are going to have to make it happen yourself, don’t trust someone you don’t know or never converse with for long periods of time.

    Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are two of the very few who are genuinely against these “wars”. If either one of these men ascended to the White House, we would be genuinely withdrawing from these undeclared perpetual wars, not escalating them and doubling down into them.

    It’s a bloody shame that Ron Paul so often seems to be the only statesman in power today who has a monopoly on common sense in the foreign policy disasters our government creates for us to enslave us into debt over.

  13. helltrackrider says:

    @TheHardMoneyMan

    It would be nice to live under a limited government…but, since Lincoln – the Federal Government has been King (especially the Executive Branch….and since McKinnley – the United States has been an Imperialist Nation using its military power to achieve greatness…rather than its social/economical model of free enterprise and limited government which achieved greatness in the 19th Century.

    25% or so of GDP spent on Federal Government today…was 3% pre Mckinnley.

  18. Irockman1 says:

    @Zeldovich Needs? You know what people need? People need food and water, and people get that in this country whether through voluntary donations or work. It’s immoral to steal from people, and the fact that the government can do it at such insane levels doesn’t make it okay. Socialistic ideas are destructive to this country, and we’re declining because of it. I don’t want the United States to end up like Greece, and I don’t advocate the great deal of stealing the federal government does.
